drag, mask, multimedia
as a drag artist and experimental solo performer, I love to toy with elements of digital mask, makeup, projection, sound looping, reflection, refraction, and audience interaction.
my work explores the erotic, the grotesque, the gorgeous, the closet, the camp, the mask, the clown, the fool, the self as projection, the self as construction.
HERE is some footage from a workshop I did in spring 2017 of a piece in progress called ‘The Gray Boy,’ which delves into the desire, disgust, and projecting of self and other that I’ve always felt is seeping out between the lines of Tennessee Williams’s A Streetcar Named Desire. The piece takes place with a live performer in front of video projections on a white brick wall. The linked video contains clips cobbled together from the projected material, and starting around 3:00 there is some footage from the actual workshop.
HERE is a little music video I made a couple months ago.
I’ll post other stuff as it comes up!
